SBS Exteriors is a company owned and operated by the Stonecypher Brothers, and their friend Chris Bales.
Jeremy Stonecypher
Jeremy has worked in construction since he was very young. His grandfather was a master carpenter, who ran a side business when the union didn’t have work for him. Jeremy swept floors and carried shingles until he was old enough to swing a hammer, and run a table saw. His experience spans from framing to finish carpentry, and everything in-between.
He has also managed restaurants for several decades. His career took him from NYC to Monterey CA, and back to Pittsburgh PA. Before founding SBS-Exteriors, he served as a sales manager for a midsized roofing company. He currently resides with his wife Carly, and newborn daughter in South Park PA. He currently has one dog, a German Shepherd named Maci.
Jeremy currently serves as our CEO and install manager.
Aaron Stonecypher
Aaron also started in construction at a young age, first visiting job sites at the age of 5 for his grandfathers construction company in Johnston PA. He attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania on a full academic scholarship. He received bachelors degrees in Economics and Philosophy, and a minor in History. After taking time off to gain corporate work experience, Aaron attended and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
After practicing corporate law for several years, Aaron decided to travel the country in his beloved Toyota Tacoma. He battled Covid-19 blues by visiting many National Parks, and created lifetime memories.
Upon returning home, Aaron made the decision to enter the world of construction with his brother. He began dating his now wife, Dr. Emily Carbaugh, who was the Chief Resident in OB/GYN for UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital.
Aaron now resides in Clarion PA with Emily and his 2 dogs, Coco and Eleanor. He is happy to be back in the world of construction. He loves not only the opportunity afforded to him in being able to work with his brother and friend, but also the chance to carry on the high standard of quality and business ethics taught to him by his grandfather.
Aaron currently serves as our Chief Sales Officer.
Christopher Bales
Chris is the only member of SBS that was not born and raised in Pennsylvania. He was born in Monterey CA, yet has lived in Arizona and Texas. He attended the University of Arizona, in Tucson AZ, and graduated with a Bachelors Degree with an emphasis in Art and Architecture. Although Architecture was a great education, he drifted from the profession as he found it too focused on high brow concepts, and less on helping people. He continued to work in restaurants, and eventually met the Stonecypher brothers. He worked until he was a General Manager of the largest Brewpub in San Antonio.
When the lockdowns hit, Chris ran both the brewpub and the taproom, to great success, but he felt his time in the industry was running out. He decided to make a huge life change, and picked up his life and moved to Pennsylvania. He worked for a midsized roofing company in Carnegie, and learned the ropes. An avid learner, Chris applied himself and became one of the best salesmen in the office.
The sales lifestyle can be amazing, but Chris felt the need to help customers, and disliked the pressure often put on customers by salesmen. He found the Zig Ziglar quote: “You can have anything you want in life if you will, just help other people get what they want” to be a guiding principle in his life. Chris knew the days of high pressure sales were behind him.
He currently resides in Bethel Park PA, with his girlfriend Stephanie, and his Great Pyrenees puppy, Bumble.
Chris currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer.
